A typical day at Cowichan Preschool…
9 – Arrival; free play and time to explore! Blocks, puzzles, games, art, science, dramatic play, fine motor and sensory activities
9:15 – Circle time
9:45 – Art and free play (blocks, puzzles, games, art, science, dramatic play, fine motor and sensory activities)
10:30 – Tidy up
10:45 – Snack
11:10 – Story time and calendar
11:30 – Outdoor play
Noon – Pick up time for morning program children
Afternoon Schedule Begins (for those registered in our full day program)
12:15 – Table time
1:00 – Tidy up
1:15 – Lunch
1:45 – Movement (yoga, dance, music)
2:15 – Free play
3:00 – Outdoor play
3:30 – Departure
Our schedule is flexible; sometimes we need to extend the fun!
The learning experience is extended into the community at large with visits to local farms and parks. The beautiful natural setting of the Preschool lends itself to the emphasis placed on exploring the outside world through a variety of hands-on experiences.
